HeadsUp

HeadsUp is a young worker safety campaign aimed at increasing awareness of the importance of physical safety and mental wellness in the workplace. We want to help young Albertans who are new to the workforce to develop positive habits and understand what they can do to support them now and into the future.

In May, we will kick off Sign Off and Step Away, a high school physical-education competition that challenges students to take a break from their devices and go for walks to promote better mental wellbeing. With this competition, we will also work with schools and PE teachers to facilitate mental and physical health conversations in the classroom. Do you know a student, teacher or school who might want to take part? Let us know! Email us at headsupab@wcb.ab.ca

Find HeadsUp on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook where we share information, tips and insights on mental health and physical safety, at work and at home. Give us a follow! You (and your teen!) might learn something new.
